A cloudful day in June

Journal page with sweet peas in my garden.

White cloud mountains,

Blue sky. A heavenly blue,

of the kind you only get in June.

When the summer is still,

fresh and youthful.

Before the heat bakes and dries.

When the leaves are still,

zesty and keen.

Before the garden longs

for it all to be over.

So it can flop in a tired heap

amid the spider-web filled

days of misty September. x
