A year in the garden....

I've realised that I work best if I work within constraints, otherwise I tend to prevaricate, or endlessly come up with ideas that never come to fruition. With that in mind, two months ago, I set myself a Garden/nature 365 challenge. Years ago, when I was a keen photographer, I undertook the photo a day project for a full year, several times. So, I've decieded to apply it to my nature journaling. I'm two months into this project now, of doing a nature drawing each day, and learning plant names, and just paying attention to nature is reaping rewards. I'm more knowledgeable about plants, seeing how they all have a season during the summer, that they go to seed, and get replaced by something else. But most of all, I'm aware that the seasons and weather roll around, and while we are baking in the heat now, in just a few weeks the spiders will start to decorate the garden and usher in the autumn. x
