Heritage Open Days

Walkers on a guided tour of the Fitties in our community garden.

This year I've spent all week at my chalet on the Fitties to take a full part in this September's Heritage Open Days with help from Jayne at FOTA and Caroline from Fitties CIC. There's been three guided walks and I've opened my chalet for people to have a look around, Brigette at 196 had a pop-up exhibition at her chalet, and Seagull Swamp did a photo tour. It's been hard work, but worth it to share our special place and talk about its unique history and landscape. It all helps spread the story and means more people can help to protect our heritage and nature x
