Making books and keeping in touch

A Cleethorpes Sketchbook.

In 2024 I was lucky enough to receive some Arts Council England funding that enabled me to do a bookbinding course at the Old School House in Minting. I've always had my little collections of work professionally printed, but I'm deciding in future to try to handmake books as much as possible. This is my first one, a Cleethorpes Sketchbook - it's hand stitched and has a lovely watercolour paper front cover. I love the feeling of hand stitching books, it feels like one of those things that puts me in touch my the hands of ancestors.
